Here are 12 of the most romantic restaurants that are perfect for a special night out:
Bliss

Bliss, located in Southtown, offers contemporary American cuisine in a stunning atmosphere. They do everything exceptionally well. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is outstanding, and the food is exquisite. If you’re looking to spend a romantic evening that guarantees perfection, Bliss is the ideal place for you. There’s never a disappointing moment. With a menu that occasionally changes, there’s always something new and fantastic to try. Bliss is a perfect restaurant.
Biga on the Banks

Biga on the Banks is truly an excellent choice for a romantic restaurant. Its patio offers stunning views of the San Antonio River in downtown. The menu changes daily, but it typically includes a wide variety of appetizers, salads, soups, entrées, and desserts. The sticky toffee pudding is a Biga classic that has stood the test of time because it’s truly exceptional!
Ocho

Ocho, located behind Hotel Havana in downtown San Antonio, is one of the best restaurants on the San Antonio Riverwalk and among the city’s most romantic dining spots. Through glass, it offers stunning views of the river, and Ocho provides excellent service with drinks, dinner, and weekend brunch.
Its menu reflects pan-Latin influences from Mexico, Cuba, and Texas, featuring old-school recipes alongside the refreshing simplicity of an ice-cold Michelada. The restaurant also offers complimentary Wi-Fi and espresso drinks for dine-in or takeaway, making it a perfect spot for a scenic and romantic outing.
Maverick Texas Brasserie

Maverick Texas Brasserie is my favorite romantic restaurant in San Antonio. It offers a perfect, relaxing evening with excellent food and an amazing atmosphere. This stunning spot, one of the best Southtown San Antonio restaurants, is known for its luxurious details and eclectic French-inspired menu, featuring dishes like succulent beef tartare and duck leg cassoulet, all of which are absolutely delightful.
You can enjoy a romantic moment with your partner on the cozy banquette seats or settle at the bar for a cocktail.
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou

Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is a lively place that offers delicious French-style cuisine along with complimentary drinks. Its name, “Mon Chou Chou,” is a sweet French nickname used for someone special, someone who embodies love, care, and beauty.
This place is for people who connect with each other during everyday moments and special occasions, becoming the center of each other’s lives. It stands out as one of the Best Restaurants in San Antonio and is also one of the city’s most romantic dining spots.
Little Em’s Oyster Bar

Little Em’s Oyster Bar is the first restaurant opened by the Carpenter couple in December 2020. This beautiful restaurant, with its shiny white lines and soft blush pink touches, looks very elegant. It’s the perfect place to enjoy lunch with friends or have a romantic dinner with someone special. Sit on the patio or indoors and enjoy rosé and spicy shrimp linguine—it will be an amazing experience!
Chart House

When it comes to romantic views in San Antonio, nothing beats the Chart House. It’s on our list mainly for its breathtaking scenery. From start to finish, the experience here is just perfect. The restaurant is known for its stunning views, tasty food, and great service. Whether it’s fresh seafood or juicy steaks, guests love the signature dining experience that only Chart House can offer.
Signature

Signature Restaurant is a romantic and classy spot in La Cantera Resort. The food is amazing, made with fresh local and organic ingredients, and the menu changes with the seasons. Rebelle

If you’re in San Antonio and want to try the best seafood in San Antonio, you have to check out Rebelle! It’s inside the St. Anthony Hotel and has a really cool modern vibe. Their blackened redfish, diver scallops, and charbroiled king crab legs with garlic parmesan butter are super tasty. And if you want a romantic touch, try their East Coast oysters with apricot or their special “aggressive” cocktail sauce. The dim lights make the place feel cozy and private—perfect for a chill night out!
Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood

If you’re looking for a nice romantic spot in San Antonio, check out Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood. It’s an old-school steakhouse with white tablecloths, soft lighting, and a cozy vibe. They’re known as one of the best downtown, serving great prime-aged beef (including Akaushi), fresh seafood, and rich sides like lobster tail and foie gras. There’s also a cocktail lounge, a patio, and live jazz to set the mood. It’s right across from the Majestic Theatre, and it’s perfect for a special night out!
Battalion

You’ve got to check out Battalion! It’s this cute little spot in an old firehouse, and the vibe is just perfect. We started with bread and whipped ricotta with honey, and the fettuccine was my favorite, though the roasted carrots were really good too. The pasta portions seemed small, but they were actually really filling. The drinks were fresh and just right—not too sweet or bitter. The staff was super friendly, and sitting upstairs gave us a great view of Southtown. Perfect spot for a date night!
La Fonda on Main

If you haven’t tried La Fonda on Main yet, you’re really missing out. It’s been a go-to spot for Tex-Mex and Mexican food since 1932, perfect for date nights or even a casual brunch. The shaded patio is such a nice place to enjoy margaritas, and their weekend brunch is so good—plenty of options whether you’re into sweet or savory, and the drinks are great too. I had the chilaquiles, and the portion was big enough to share. They also keep a lot of their regular menu available, so there’s something for everyone. You’ve got to check it out!
